What I Did, Where I Went, My Opinions

My article is published in the Times of India, edit page, on the US offer of F-16 and F-18 aircraft to India

Dinner with the Australian delegation led by the Australian Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer. He made an interesting speech on Asian history and historical trade links between China, India, and Europe.

Tues, 07 June 2005

Dinner at ASSOCHAM for the visiting Foreign Minister of Sudan. Had ""interesting discussions"" with several members of the Sudanese cabinet (Military Junta?? / Butchers of Darfur??) about the North-South war in Sudan and the situation in Darfur. Over 60% of the present Sudanese Military Junta / Cabinet studied in India and are well-disposed to India. But why should we condone the suppression of south Sudan and the massacres in Darfur, and the deliberate famines.
